Our two year old Shih Tzu named Bite got our neighbor friend's female Shih Tzu named Bella pregnant. They had 4 puppies, 3 males and 1 female. One of the male puppies died because he was born with deformed hind legs. Poor thing.
Bite and Bella's babies
Doing a "puppy share" deal with Bella's owner, we were given the female puppy. We named her Chloe. Since we could not keep two dogs in the apartment, we gave Chloe to my son's girlfriend who absolutely loves dogs.
Chloe's first picture. This was taken a few days after she was born.
She was so tiny she could fit in the palm of my son's hand.
Yesterday, our Daddy Bite paid a visit to his daughter Chloe. My son and his girlfriend went nuts taking pictures of the father and daughter bonding moments. Who says animals don't have feelings? Simply look at the pictures below and you can immediately feel the love they have for each other. Bite was all over his daughter, walking alongside her, hugging her, and doing his daddy duties just like humans do.
Here are some of their pictures. Hope you enjoy them as much as I do.
"Hello, baby girl! Oh my, you are so pretty!"
"You have such nice fur, sweetheart."
"You want to go for a walk, baby?"
"Daddy, you are so big!"
"And you are handsome too!"
"Promise you'll always come to visit me, Daddy."
"I will, my little sweetheart. You be a good girl. I'll be back soon."
"Give daddy a kiss. I love you, baby Chloe. I love you, my little girl."
Until they meet again.
Awww puppies are so fun! We adopted our dog, so we never got to experience that stage with my dog.
ReplyDeleteAh! Love puppies! Its neat to see how dogs can bond. We don't have dogs now but I had one growing up that was dear to my heart named "Suger Bear". I miss that dog.
ReplyDeleteDogs do have feelings. People just need to be in tune to them
ReplyDeleteI am friends with 2 great danes who are littermates but live with different people. There are times both of them show up at the doggie park at the same time. It's interesting to watch the 2 of them greet each other, which they always do, and then go on their separate ways.
ReplyDeleteCute puppies! I love dogs and wish I could adopt more.
ReplyDeleteDogs are also have a feeling they just like people. I will pass this to my dog lover friends.
ReplyDeleteYes, they do ...dogs have some human ways.
ReplyDeleteSo sweet. Love it.
ReplyDeleteAdorable! I love how they're so sweet to each other. Good job, "daddy" Bite!
ReplyDeleteThey are cute dogs. I know some dogs get depressed when they are separated from another dog they have became acquainted with.
ReplyDeleteLook at all those spots! It looks like their hair appears to be shorter when born, then grows longer?
ReplyDeleteI used to be a dog owner and I know for sure they have feelings! BTW, those are some seriously cute puppies in your pics! :)

ReplyDeleteThe puppies are so cute! I am suddenly missing Loki (our shih tzu). He passed last year.
ReplyDeleteI adore puppy love! What a cute pair!
ReplyDeleteThis is the sweetest thing! We grew up with Shih Tzus as kids - they are such AWESOME dogs!
ReplyDeleteSo cute! Our Chi/Jack Russell got our Shih Tzu pregnant 3 years ago. Before we got them fixed, we got 6 amazing little pups from that litter. Dogs for sure have feelings, we have 3 and I treat them as my babies! - Jeanine
ReplyDeleteWow....I am in tears over these pictures. That is so absolutely beautiful. As a dog lover as well I see first hand that they have feelings and that they do well at taking care of each other.
ReplyDeleteYup, dogs have feelings. I used to have a Shih Tzu and I suddenly miss him after seeing these photos.
ReplyDeleteThose puppies are so cute, I wont one now.
ReplyDeleteMost animals are so good with the young of their species or any other for that matter! I had a fog who mothered a stray kitten I had brought in from the street! You can tell that Dad really does love his little girl!
ReplyDeleteDogs definitely have feelings too, I agree with you. We love our dog, Onyx, very much.
ReplyDeleteAll animals are capable of showing the same love as we humans and the bond between your dogs are beautiful x
