A Bike Riding Day With My Eldest Boy

It is the first day of my 5-day weekend. Too lazy to do the laundry. Too lazy to do any other household task other than cooking.

The afternoon was dragging on and on and I decided to take a spin around the neighborhood on the bike. The sun was shining but there was a light breeze. Perfect!

My OOTD? Denim cut-off shorts, a t-shirt and flip flops. Off I go...

I must have done 2 or 3 kilometers and headed home. When I got to the gate, my son was waiting for me and had the camera ready. He told me to just go up and down our street so he can take pictures. Of course, I was fine with that. Haha.

Oh my, it is difficult to pedal upstreet!

 Pedaling down street is better.

Whoops! Moving vehicle behind me. I have to move closer to the sidewalk.

Great weather to squeeze in a little exercise!

My Royal Chubbiness!

A panoramic shot. So many images of My Royal Chubbiness!

This is Aton, my eldest son

What's with the pensive pose?

It is a great day. Tonight will be movie night - Son of God, The Bible, The Passion of Christ. Films to keep my Catholic faith burning.

Have a blessed Lenten Season, everyone. Peace, Hope, and Love from my family to yours.

    1. Oh yes we did! My hubby said I'd be sore the following day but I felt fine. Guess my muscles are still toned at this age. :)

    1. I wish I could just bike my way to work, but since my shift starts at 2 am, I guess it would be too dangerous to do that.

    1. I think he set the camera to "panorama" and then lightly pressed the shutter while moving the camera, then pressed the shutter down to end the shot. We did have fun. I wish I had my daughter and youngest son with me too, but both of them were out on vacation with their "special someone."

    1. One of those rare times that he does that. His girlfriend is on vacation in the US and he's bored to death. I am now the subject of his camera lens. Hahaha.

  8. This is one activity I've always wanted to do but I can't. I don't know how to ride a bike. Blame it on my strict Dad :-)

You look like you had a lot of fun. Having your son as your biking buddy = double the fun.

    1. I wish you learned to ride a bike, Juliana. Its fun! My dad was strict too but he wanted us to be engaged in some kind of sports activity, hence, I got my very own bike at age 7.

    1. Oh yes, Papaleng. It was one of those days that I got to have some real bonding time with my boy. Usually kasi they are out with their "special someone," but since his girlfriend is on vacation in the US, my son is bored out of his wits kaya ako lagi ang pinagti-tripan. hahaha.

    1. Hi Jessica! I have invented other words to describe me other than "fat." I call myself "fluffy," "royal chubbiness," "horizontally challenged" or "baking powder overload." When people ask me about my shape, I say "round." Hahaha.

  11. The weekends should be all about enjoying family and relaxation. Unfortunately there are plenty of things to get done and guilt to go around when it doesn't all get done. Glad you got to enjoy some family time and don't worry about the stuff that didn't get done!

    1. Oh yes I did enjoy it, Wendy! Sometimes people tell me to act my age. I am doing that exactly! What is age anyway? A measure of the number of years you have existed from birth to today? For me, age is the measure of memories created, love spread around and smiles shared with others.

  13. Your pictures are so fun to look at esp when you mentioned "royal chubbiness." Asan? I don't see any flabbies :)

I love riding the bike. That's one the activities I love to do. Unfortunately, my daughter and hubby don't share the same passion I have. They don't know how to ride the bike kasi hahaha.
